Designer notes: Bleached was created in hopes to raise awareness of coral bleaching in our oceans, a very prominent issue in our society today. This is a project that I was able to work passionately and endlessly towards. Coral bleaching is when the ocean reaches temperatures that are too warm for coral to sustain their color and end up dying and turning white because of it. This is a huge deal because our coral reefs 1. are home to many fish and organisms in the ocean and 2. serve as a heat protector in the ocean. The ocean endures many of the harmful toxins in the air and if the ocean isn't able to sustain life, our land is going to raise in temperature and eventually not be able to continue producing the needs we humans require. Creating my own film festival and developing the branding for it was an extremely enlightening and incredible project. In fact, this might be my favorite project so far!
